My long-time friend owns an HVAC company and he’s pretty anti-barter…or should I say WAS anti-barter. He just fell in love with a woman. He called to tell me he found “The One,” and then said, “Hey, do you have three carat diamond engagement rings on that barter thing?” “We have dozens of jewelry stores so take your pick,” I told him. I suppose with barter, like anything else, nothing beats first hand experience. I’ve been friends with this person for a long time and I think they thought I worked for some kind of MLM, or scam, or backwoods horse trading thing.
