Does your company sell a nationally branded product? Do you own a franchise? Many corporations give co-op dollars (cash) to their resellers or ‘sister’ companies. If your company sells a product or service that is eligible for co-op dollars, you can make additional money on trade advertising. (not to mention all the new cash business you will receive from the ads)
Example 1. You’re a restaurant that sells a certain type of deli meat. You purchase radio advertising on trade. Your ad mentions that you serve this certain food. -OR- your menu (that you printed on trade of course) puts the logo of that meat company on each piece. The manufacturer pays you cash in co-op dollars.
Example 2. You own an auto repair shop that uses one brand of oil. Using their logo and tag-line in your magazine, website, or signage (that you purchase on trade) may get you a check cut from your vendor or credit on your next order.
If you’re looking for advertising opportunities on trade…they’re out there!
